ClO2 Technology
The ABS uddercare product line includes a wide variety of Chlorine Dioxide based products to fit your dairy’s needs. Having Chlorine Dioxide (ClO2) be the primary germicide, makes it an effective bactericidal, fungicidal, viricidal broad-spectrum agent. This germicide is very effective under organic loads, which includes manure, mud, bedding or milk, whereas other teat dips lose effectiveness under organic loads. Meanwhile, even under a 10% organic load, the ABS uddercare product line has a quick kill. Killing bacteria with 15 seconds of application, proven by the Association of Analytical Chemists (AOAC). ClO2 is residue safe, breaking down into an organic acid and salt, which are naturally found in the environment. This is confirmed as it has been used commercially for over 60 years.
Some examples of where Chlorine Dioxide has been used industrially are: disinfecting food processing equipment, treating municipal water, sterilizing contact lenses and controlling odors.
Chlorine Dioxide is proven to be effective, fast and safe.
